Training and research support
Training
If you want to carry out your own research, evaluation or consultation activities, I offer a variety of training packages, primarily for cultural and community-based organisations such as libraries, heritage, arts, third sector bodies and others.
I aim to tailor sessions to the needs of your group or organisation. I've worked with groups ranging from people with no previous experience of research to post-doctoral researchers. Just some of the types of sessions I can offer include:
A general introduction to research
An overview of common research/evaluation methods (e.g. interviews, focus groups, surveys)
Visual and creative research methods
Using comics in research
Involving people with dementia and carers in research and evaluation
Participative research/evaluation methods (such as co-production).
Training costs
For locations within 60 miles of Manchester (see map), my costs to deliver a session for a group of up to 20 people are:
£500 for a full day (approx. 6 hours)
£300 for a half day (approx. 3 hours)
If you're further away, I'm happy to travel to you, but will need to add extra travel costs.
Research and evaluation support
If you have collected data, such as customer feedback, survey responses, visitor statistics etc., but aren't sure how to make the best use your data, I can help with data analysis and interpretation. This might include analysis of specific datasets, collating data from different sources, setting the findings within a wider context and making recommendations based on the analysis.
